It’s time to start preparing
your show game plan…

Here’s 10 quick tips to help you prepare for a great, profitable show:


  1. Decide on your goals for the show, who exactly do you want to target?
  2. Determine your booth layout to maximize exposure to the audience, (no sitting or hiding behind your table!) open up your booth to make it inviting to stop and talk.
  3. Determine your qualifying strategy, how will you quickly qualify attendees at your booth.
  4. Develop your interaction talking points. You and your team need to be saying and asking the same questions to create consistency in your marketing image.
  5. Determine how you will capture your attendees contact information, a drawing, a game, some way to get their business cards. (Remember it is about the number of qualified leads you get, not the number of fliers you hand out!)
  6. Decide and order any new signage you need for your booth to support your talking points.
  7. Decide and order any new marketing materials you may need, cards, brochures, fliers etc.
  8. Start to let your Twitter followers, Facebook fans, Linked in Connections etc. know that you will be at the showcase.
  9. Post the event on your website to show you are a pro-active participant and let your clients know you will be exhibiting.
  10. Invite your prospects  to come visit you at the show, give them passes to get in, it will make them feel special that you invited them and it will make the show great for everyone!
